Your questions, answered

What is a manual pump?

A manual pump uses a hand bulb you squeeze to create suction โ€” you build and release the vacuum yourself, at your own pace. No motor, no battery, nothing to charge. The translucent cylinder lets you see what's happening the whole time.

Why choose manual instead of electric?

Control and simplicity. With a manual pump you feel exactly how much suction you're applying and can stop instantly. It's quiet, travel-friendly, nothing to charge, and costs less โ€” a lot of people prefer that tactile control, especially starting out. If you'd rather see an exact pressure number and go hands-free, that's the electric Pro Pump.

How should the cylinder fit?

Snug but comfortable โ€” a good seal matters more than size. The 2.0's custom-molded cylinder is shaped for bottom growth anatomy and fits most people; if you're between sizes or expect to grow, the Deluxe includes three graduated sizes. Full fit guide: What size pump cylinder do I need?

How much pressure should I use?

Start gentle โ€” soft fullness, never pain, numbness, or color change. With a manual pump, a few light squeezes is plenty at first; if it aches, release and go lighter. Keep early sessions to 5โ€“10 minutes.

Is this beginner-friendly?

Very โ€” the 2.0 is the starter. One custom-molded cylinder, a manual bulb, nothing to configure. It's the simplest, gentlest way to try pumping; you can always move to the Deluxe (3 sizes) or the Pro (digital gauge) later.

How do I use a pump for the first time?

A little water-based lube around the rim, place the cylinder flush, and squeeze gently โ€” you're aiming for soft fullness, never pain. Keep the first sessions to 5โ€“10 minutes, a few times a week, and build slowly.

Do I need to be on T โ€” and how often should I pump?

No T required โ€” pre-T, post-T, or never on T, it meets you where you are. Start with 2โ€“3 sessions a week, 5โ€“10 minutes each, and build up slowly. Recovery between sessions is part of it.

Does pumping actually work?

Session effects are reliable: gentle vacuum draws blood into the tissue for temporary fullness and heightened sensitivity right away. Long-term change varies by body โ€” anyone who guarantees growth is selling you something. Consistency matters more than intensity.

How discreet is shipping?

Always a plain, unmarked box โ€” no logos, no product names outside. Your card statement reads New York Toy Collective.

The science behind pumping

Bottom growth is driven mostly by testosterone. Androgens act on receptors in genital tissue to enlarge the clitorophallus โ€” a well-documented effect that's most rapid in the first year on T (Grimstad et al., Andrology, 2021).

Where a pump comes in: blood flow. Vacuum devices use gentle negative pressure to draw blood into erectile tissue and raise the oxygen level in it โ€” the same mechanism used in penile-rehabilitation medicine (Lin et al., Asian Journal of Andrology; Yuan et al., International Journal of Impotence Research). More blood flow is what produces the temporary fullness and heightened sensitivity you feel during a session.

Our honest caveat: that vacuum research was done on cis men for erectile function โ€” no one has run a long-term study on trans masc bottom growth specifically. What's solid is the session effect (blood flow, fullness, sensitivity). Lasting change varies by body, and anyone who guarantees inches is selling you something. We include a translucent cylinder so you can track what's real for you.

The bundle price makes the math easy, and the Jack pairing is the reason I finally committed โ€” using the pump on its own works, but the two together actually flow like a routine. The silicone on the Jack has a nice give to it, not too stiff.

Finally a kit that actually makes sense together โ€” the pump and Jack combo covers everything in one order, and the 2-in-1 stroker/packer is way more versatile than I expected. The pump feels sturdy and the whole setup was worth the savings versus buying separately.
